The cans' interior and lids have an epoxy phenolic resin coating that resists rust, corrosion, chemical reactions, and damage from alkaline products.

Safe and Secure Storage: When used with water-based paint, latex coatings, or any liquids containing water, these durable, sturdy, leak-proof metal cans resist chemical reactions and corrosion. Note: Do not use these lined metal cans to store solvents, oil-based paint, or automotive coatings, as they may react with the cans' lining and affect the paint quality.
